16_1_2009 WRRG to Case Officer, Planning and Development Services
We wish to bring to your attention a matter about which this Group is very concerned.
Following NDDC decision to extend representations for 47817, we notified the Residents of this in a Public Notice (along with all the other public notices), freely put on public view by the owner in the window of Cobleys Newsagents, Pilton Street, Pilton, this being a focal point for local residents.
Following a visit to Cobleys Newsagents by the present owner's wife of Scotts Moor and subsequent discussions with the proprietor of Cobleys Newsagents, not disputing his rights on this matter, felt it necessary to remove our Public Notice from public view.
We consider this to be highly questionable and an affront to our own rights and local democracy.
We also note there has been no re-advertisement in ND Journal to inform residents of this extension for representations due to the re-notification of 47817
