7_4_2008 Customer Services to WRRG
Thank you for your letter received on 2nd April 2008 containing 10 complaints. Complaints 1, 2, 3, 4,5,6,7 refer to events in 2004, 2005 and 2006
We are guided by the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) in our investigations. The LGO booklet "Complaint about the Council" states "you should complain to us within 12 months of when you first knew about the matter you are complaining about".
As the dates are over 12 months we have taken advice from the Ombudsman's Office regarding investigating these comments and the opportunities you had in bringing them to our attention before now. Because of previous correspondence from you we believe you knew about the matters you are now complaining about and could have contacted us about them at anytime during the 12 months following. Therefore, we will not be investigating them.
Complaints 8, 9, 10 - your comments have been passed to the Council's Quality Manager who will investigate.
